Kim Yalan Söylüyor? Privacy Policy

Last updated 24 September 2026

Kim Yalan Söylüyor? ("Who Is Lying?", "the app") is made by 2April ("we", "us"). It is a single-player detective game about reading statements and finding the contradiction between them. This policy explains what the app processes, why, and the choices you have. In plain terms: there is no account, your progress stays on your device, we run no analytics, we never sell your data, and the app only contacts a third party when you choose to watch a rewarded video ad or make a purchase.

Your game data stays on your device

Everything the game records about you — the day counter, your till, reputation, rent debt, which files you have closed and with how many stars, the tools and supplies you own, your settings, and the detective name you type on first launch — is stored only on your device, in the app's local storage. It is not uploaded to us, not stored on our servers, and not shared with anyone. We operate no game servers and no user database.

The detective name is used only inside the game's own text. It never leaves your device, and we never see it.

Case files are read, never written

New case files are downloaded from our content server. That request only reads the list of files and their contents — the app contains no path that writes anything to the server. As with any internet request, your IP address and the standard headers your device sends reach the server; we do not link them to an identity and we do not build profiles from them.

The game is fully playable offline with the cases bundled in the app.

Rewarded video ads

The app shows rewarded video ads through Google AdMob — for example to earn a little cash for the office, to get one more question from a suspect, or to reveal a detail on a photograph. An ad is requested only when you tap a "watch a video" button. The app shows no banners, no interstitials, and nothing that appears without your action; if you never tap one of those buttons, no ad is ever requested. The reward is granted only if you watch the ad to the end.

To serve an ad, Google may process your device's advertising identifier, coarse information about your device (such as model, operating system version, and language), your approximate region derived from your IP address, and whether the ad was shown or completed. We receive only aggregate counts of ads shown — never information about you.

Your choice about personalised ads

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app shows a consent screen on first launch, built with Google's User Messaging Platform. Nothing is requested from the ad network before you answer it. If you do not consent to personalised advertising, ads are not personalised; if consent is not given at all, no ad is requested and the app simply tells you that no ad came through. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Ad preferences inside the app. Outside those regions the screen is not shown, because consent is not required there.

On iOS you may additionally see Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, asking whether we may use your device's advertising identifier to personalise ads:

Every reward and feature works exactly the same either way; declining costs you nothing in the game. You can change your mind at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and turning it off there stops personalisation for future ads.

Google's handling of this data is described in the Google Business Data Responsibility & Privacy notice. You can limit ad personalisation on your device at any time via Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.

Purchases

The app offers optional in-app purchases: packs of in-game cash, and a one-off ad-free unlock. Payment is handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see your card number, name, or billing address. The store tells the app only that a given product was purchased, and the app uses that to unlock the corresponding item. Nothing about a purchase is sent to us.

The ad-free unlock is tied to your store account, so it comes back if you reinstall the app.

Service providers

We share the minimum necessary with:

There are no other third parties. The app contains no analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, or social SDKs.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, calendar, health data, or browsing history. We do not fingerprint your device, and we build no profile about you — we hold no advertising data of our own at all. There is no account to create and nothing to log in to.

Retention

Your progress stays on your device until you erase it in the app (Settings → Erase save) or delete the app. Deleting the app removes it permanently — because we never received a copy, we cannot restore it, and there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Your rights

Because your game data lives only on your device, you are always in control of it: you can erase all of it at any time from Settings → Erase save in the app, or by deleting the app. For the limited data processed by Google to serve an ad, the rights below apply.

Children

Kim Yalan Söylüyor? is a general-audience mystery game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International users

The app is available worldwide. The limited advertising data described above, and the case files you download, may be processed by Google on servers outside your country.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date on this page.
